Fayi – Free Market

The Fayi – Food Aid Network is a strong alliance of organizations in Attica, consisting of: Steps AMKE, Christian Refugee Relief (CRR), Meraki Humanitarian Support, Action for Women, Hope Café Sweden, and Just Human e.V.

These organizations have joined forces with one mission: to provide food and hygiene items to individuals living below the poverty line.

Recent challenges, such as the rising cost of living, have intensified the urgency of our work. With more people at risk of poverty and social exclusion, we are called to adapt and strengthen our efforts in order to meet the growing demand for assistance.

For this reason, we created a new space in the center of Athens, where—alongside managing our beneficiary database—we introduced a free‑market model, allowing beneficiaries to choose nutritious food and hygiene products that match their preferences and needs.

Fayi offers support lasting from three to twelve months, covering immediate needs while simultaneously promoting self‑sufficiency and stability for beneficiaries.

Fayi is not simply a food‑aid structure.

It is a place of connection, support, and human interaction.
A space where poverty is not treated as a statistic, but as a human reality that requires respect, care, and collective action.

At this moment, Fayi supports approximately

8500

people across Attica!
